“It begins with a dream and passion……”

Richie immersed himself in the art world from a young age, dedicating his childhood to studying various artistic techniques. During high school, he pursued O'level courses with a focus on portrait and realistic art, mastering skills such as sketching, watercolor, collage, and charcoal over more than 8 years. Despite his aspirations to attend art academy for university, Richie's plans took an unexpected turn when his family sent him to study agriculture in Taiwan for 2 years.
In late 2021, Richie ventured into the realm of abstract painting for the first time. Throughout 2022, he delved deeper into this artistic exploration, discovering that abstract art serves as his chosen language for expressing his innermost thoughts and forging connections with both life and his own essence. This mode of expression speaks uniquely to his soul, particularly resonating with his inclination towards communicating in ways beyond words.
Abstract art serves as a unifying force for Richie, enabling him to express himself through various splashes, brush strokes, colors, and layered compositions, a form of communication he finds more adept than verbal expression, which he struggles with. This mode of expression conveys the message he aims to deliver, encouraging people to contemplate and understand his work. By working on a large scale and using the motions of his body to guide the composition of his artwork, Richie embodies the principles of "Action Painting." His artistic style draws influence from American artist Jackson Pollock, as well as from his own life experiences and emotional connections with others.

In late 2023, Richie made the decision to leave behind his career in agriculture to fully commit to his passion as an artist. Initially daunting, this transition proved to be a journey marked by perseverance and relentless dedication. Through diligent effort and seizing opportunities along the way, he eventually discovered illumination along his artistic path.
